This was my first ride, I was 8. This picture is not actually mine but the same as the one I had. Mine was not as "new looking" as this picture. Gas was 40 cents a GALLON.

I was a late bloomer, got my first ride when I was 18, but man it was fun. 30 years later, still on a Honda.

Those bikes were crazy in those days. I had a 500 by then, 750 was considered a big bike, then these Interceptors came out. My friend bought one and I thought it was a missile...the way he rode it, the wheelies, the handling...amazing. That is when I heard the term "crotch rocket" for the first time, how appropriate. Of course, by today's standards, it is a not anywhere near today's crotch rockets but it was an eye popper for me back then.....

buddy used to let me ride his 500 interceptor, loads of fun. back issues now and i can only play on one for 30 minutes or so
I don’t feel like going for a ride today, said no motorcyclist ever.
