Well, it's done

Big Red has been decommisioned (for me at least) and the plates have been moved to the ST1300

Bro inlaw that I bought the ST from says *let me know what 5th gear is like* Bwaaaaahahahahahahahaha! He puts 4,000 kms on it in 14 years and doesn't ever hit 5th gear either - cleaned a bunch of dust off her yesterday, installed some risers to cut down on the reaching, moved the plate over to her and went for a test burn after putting some much needed air in the tires - took 3 minutes to get to the highway and just a few seconds to find out that 5th gear is in fact fukn awesome!!! LOL Just gunned the shyt out of her burning through gears and once in 5th had the opp to look at the speedo - she sure gets to 115 Mph quick!! hehehe This could be bad, very very bad indeed ;)

That said, she handles well, has no wobbles whatsoever, is nice and tight, and has a lot of flex when it comnes to seating position - Gonna run 'er for a good while me thinks ;)

Is it comfortable enough to ride across Canada? Like the meet in Steinbach?

Will have to see on Steinbech - that's a long haul and not sure that even a Goldwing would be comfy enopugh for this guy (reumatoid arthritis n shyt) but time will tell

Thanks Mo - gotta git over there fer a quick visit some day - been a long while
