:( :( :( ........ well so much for the lifetime warranty on my craftsman tools ........ broke a few things over the years and was great going into the store for a replacement ...... oh well ...... got good use out of them over the years and they will probably last another thirty years ....... hopefully I do too ........ :roll: :roll: :roll:

Broke my torque wrench last month, went to Sears to get it replaced.(had it since 1983)
They gave me a Sears card for $106 as they couldn`t get a replacement. Gave DD the card today and told her to
use the damn thing up !
I bought a new Torque wrench and 1/2" drive Johnsone bar at Crappy for $46..also guarenteed for life. :cool:

:) :) :) ...... I have a set of crappy tire screw drivers ........ keep twisting the ends off their phillips ......... no problem exchanging them ........ last time they gave me a better quality screw driver that so far not breaking ...... :) :) :)

Screwdriver---isn`t that another name for chisel, prybar ,punch ect ect...and bigger is gooder ? :lol:

Sears that had all the right pieces to compete in the online world and completely dropped the ball.....management too rigid, processes too out of date, bad decisions on debt and expansion, overly bureaucratic....

No surprises that they are folding....they clearly earned that right.....

They got sedentary and watched as the world passed them by. As bad as I feel for all those out of work, I have no sympathy or the company itself. Fat & lazy is no way to run a business.

Craftsman is Brand which is/was sold by Sears.
Not a proprietary Brand name owned by Sears.
Craftsman tools still carry original lifetime warranty, which will be honoured at any distributer.
