Teflon Tape - if you have any heavy Teflon tape for the under side of the slider and also stretch the little spring it will make the switch work better than original new! PS after you get the switch apart and then pull the contact off you may not find the spring right away , it will be under the rear of the front tire , don't ask me how I know but have found it twice there.

Moe...does anything come back at all? Any electrical activity such as Oil light or neutral light? if not, did you check your fuses? If it is not the switch and you have a dead starter relay, you should get some lights on the panel at least. If your starter is shorted, it would blow a fuse.....

Let us know how it goes...

My guess is starter switch corrosion - a good cleaning and contact burnishing could do the trick.

Yeuuuuuup .... what Al said ..... I had same issue last summer.

Cleaned up the switch contacts ... slathered them in Dielectric Grease and good to go.

   ........... sanded the contacts .......... stuffed dialectic grease ........... pushed the button .......... voila ........ bike fired up like always ........ thinking back ...... I had no heat when storing the bike as in previous years ...... looking at the contacts I could not see anything that would cause a problem ............ course I'm used to green crud running boats in the chuck ...... anyway .... to make a long story short ......... starter switch was the problem ..............

Short the solenoid contacts with a screw diver starter should crank , if not wiring or starter are shot. Most likely it with ckank up if it does then its the starter switch.
