Motorcycle gods not smiling on me today... road was totally closed to the south due to a new wildfire at Steen River.
Still hoping things change before I am scheduled to leave on Monday.
I don’t feel like going for a ride today, said no motorcyclist ever.

You could always go the other way . West to Ft Liard , then across to Watson Lake , Then south Meziadan over night in Stewart and get Hyder-ised back out the next day and across to Prince George , then south Cache Creek then east to Sicamous !

If I had a trailer or adventure bike possibly, Liard highway is a gravel road but worse than the Dempster highway.
Most of the trucking companies are also using it to get their freight in also. 450km of it... nope.
Still hoping to get out by end of month tho, possible stop in at Chilliwack as I want to ride the tunnels on #1.

Army Boy, talked to Wolfpack today, we are meeting at Timmie's at the Invermere turnoff at 9:00 AM or so on Thursday, you may want to ride South for 10 or 12 km or so and meet us for a Egg McHorton, or we'll see you in Radium when we get there. Either way, your call, keep us posted. You got my cel.

Left A.B. in Golden about 11:30, headed South to Kimberley, home at about 2:30 MDT.
cold through the pass, some rain, got rain again South of
Golden for about 20 minutes. Traffic light, so easy riding.
Good to see some familiar faces, drank 4 beer, 2 glasses of wine, getting good at behavin'.
