Boy It has been quiet on this site I see. Spring is coming. Where are you going? we are saving up for our 3 week trip to Alaska.
Has anyone been that way? We are doing the Cassiar Highway and the Top of the World Highway.Then possibly ferry ride to Prince Rupert on way down or even Vancouver Island.

Been there done that !
Fantastic round trip :
Travel Alaska Hwy up to Ft Nelson , Liard Hotsprings , Whitehorse. 3 days ,
1 day in Whitehorse.
Then up to Dawson City 1 day up and 1 day stay over !
Ferry across the river then the Top of the World Hwy on , stop at the top of the climb and look back on Dawson and to farms off in the river valley! Then stops at jack Wade , Chicken and Tok before you head north to Fairbanks 2 days
Then Fairbanks south to Mount McKinley and on to a stop in Talkeetna then on to Anchorage 1 day
Then plan on a 2 days around Anchorage and the Stewart Peninsula 2 day .
Then start back Tok and then south to Whitehorse 1 day
another day rest up in Whitehorse 1 day
the to the Cassiar and south to Stewart / Hyder ( Glacier Hwy is worth the side trip ) 2 days
plan on a full day rest up in Stewart/Hyder and a side trip up to the Salmon Glacier! 2 days

thats 17 days , then a day either back to Prince George or Prince Rupert !

I did it the opposite way around a couple of years ago. Ferry to Vancouver Island, ferry from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert, Highway 37 (with side trip to Stewart/Hyder) to Yukon/Alaska, Whitehorse, Dawson, Fort Nelson, Fort St John, Grand Prairie, Edmonchuck, Rocky Mountain House, Banff/Lake Louise, Radium and back to the coast. Great Trip !
