Big Thanks to Boone and Deb for inviting us up
Bit of rain on the way up, Great dirt road for a few miles ( ) oops, sorry Rob
Nice bonfire--Rob got his bush pilot license--he piled a ton of bush on the fire Flames were 20 ft high
2 of the Creeks ran dry, but thank goodness we had a spare!!!
Perfect day Sunday as we ran the Bunny Trail and cruised home
Reminded me of why I love ridin and meeting new folks

Re: Corn Roast - Aug 16
Well if that was a little rain on the way up I don't know what a lot is. It was like riding underwater. When we stopped at Timmies in Burk's Falls. I was standing in line for coffee making a puddle on the floor (no Moe the puddle wasn't because the bathroom was occupied). Anyways this guy comes in and asks if I was one of the guys with the bikes and said he was south of town doing a hundred K and he was looking for a place to pull over because it was raining so hard he couldn't see where he was going. Apparently we blew by him in the hammer lane. I told him we couldn't see well enough to stop. Now I know why they call it the Hammer's lane.
We had a few km's of gravel and I could hear Hammer behind me blipping the throttle and amusing himself painting Rob with mud and gravel.
I think the Warrior has some photos (he was the official photographer). But here are some that Deb took.
Hope to do it again next year. ...What a great time.
See Rob I didn't say anything about having to wait for you 'cause you got off 11 in the wrong town.
Arriving
Good food...Thanks Deb..
The rain stopped when we got there (of course). We got a fire going and the stars were even there after dark.

Corn Roast - Aug 16
I want to thank Boone and Deb for putting us motley crew up for the night. Had an awesome time with great hospitality!!!
Well we have Dirt Road Dave and now Mud Road Kurt! He had to wait until a few hours of torrential rain before taking us on the soggy pot holed mud road! It was several km's of fun filled mud. Thanks to Hammer I got to enjoy tasting it almost as much as riding through it. Thank god for the creek to wash some it down!
We had an old fashioned corn roast and bomb fire after the rain stopped. The bike needs a massive power wash now.
We had to avoid unwanted visitors:
We got to dig into fresh local corn:
And of course some of this:
While sitting in front of this:
Then the next day drove some amazing roads for the first time.
It doesn't get any better than this, good times, good rides (without the rain) and great company. Need to do it again!!!
