Sorry to miss this one, Hi to all you X-Riders. It looks like the weather should sort of help you, but I do know that no matter what, you’re all going to have a great time. I’m soon off on my riding trip to Haida Gwaii, so monetarily, I could not afford both trips. Have a super great time, guys and gals. Hugs to Mrs. Flintstone.

Re: NATIONAL MEET - JUL 31, AUG 1, 2, 2018
Home safe ... long 12 hour day sorta lucky thou ... yes with the forest fire was 2 hours long going west to Golden and the heading back east but talk about luck . Crappy wet ski to the west , rain fall to the west , then a bad ski to the north , 10 wet sprinkles , dark clouds the the east .. wet road ... bad sky to the northwest , 10 rain drops on and on it went like that all day . Stopped at Innisfail for supper and figured that my luck had run out black black clouds with heavy rain coming down just ahead and to the NW so I geared up , wet road with water running down it but never did reach the rain and it totally clear at Red Deer . PS bought lotto ticket just as got home! Hoping the luck holds out!!

All right...
Danny and Annette just left the house, new tires, the old ones were definitely due, would not have got to Radium on the rear one, badly separated.
Their going out our back door just brought the whole meet to an end, it is now officially over. Looks like everyone had a good time, no mishaps with any one while riding, all is well that ends well. Thanks to all who made it, some of you will be riding for a couple more days, ride safe. We really enjoyed having you all in our neck of the woods, do come back when possible, or if you are riding through, we will be here.
And for those who could not be here this go around, mark your calendar, the Moose (2019) and the National (2020) in Steinbach are already posted. Lord willing, we will be there.
Val and Bernie.

NATIONAL MEET - JUL 31, AUG 1, 2, 2018
Mikester and I are in Portage la Prairie so far. All is well. We detoured through the mountains for an extra day and a half on the trip. We hit 2.5 days of rain and cold and 12-14 degrees. Never saw Prairie downspouts of rain in real life until this trip! They kinda look like mushrooms, nothing magic! Sky as black as asphalt!
Looks like we will get above 20 degrees and a clear day to ride today. Still a few days more to go, figure arrival home on Wednesday.
Fairing brackets are still holding together (thanks Bernie) and clutch slipping but so far so good!
